One Month Old....

I know everyone always says... "The Time Goes By Fast". But seriously this last month has flowen by! My little Baby is all ready 5 weeks old! My other baby is about to bring home his 1st report card from 2nd GRADE!!
Where do the days go.......... it is all wonderful though because our little family of 4 is doing
great happy and healthy!
Gearing up for Christmas :)
Mr.Cale is getting big, at his doc appt he weighed in at 8 POUNDS 8 OZ!!! :)
DJ and I have a pretty good system down of taking turns for the every 2-3 hour feedings, but we both are still pretty tired!

2 week update....

Mr. Cale had his 2 week check up today!

He now weighs in at: 6lbs 2oz :) :) We are sooo happy!

Everything is going great, he still sleeps most of the day, however when he is awake, he is busy looking all around now!

NOVEMBER. 4. 2008

We are so thrilled to share the news Cale Thomas Dwyer Fatland was born 11.4.08 at 8:33pm, via c-section! Weighing 5 pounds and is 18inches long. Healthy baby boy!

I was delivered at 35 weeks and 2 days pregnant due to complications with pre-eclampsia. After Cale was born he was able to be in the recovery room with us for 1 hour, that is where Carson met his new little brother, the pics below did capture the moment however you had to be there to feel the joy and love. Carson is a VERY proud big brother! During the time we spent in the recovery room, I was not able to hold Cale, I was on alot of meds and was still shaking from the meds during the c-section. Then the NICU team came to get Cale to begin his 24hr observation, which is standard for a baby that early. DJ was able to go with them, and he NEVER left Cale's side for the next 4 days! Cale's heart, lungs, blood sugars, temp, was all great, he just had a little set back with eating which is totally normal with a baby his age. So for the next 4 days the NICU staff and DJ worked with him and Cale passed all his tests with flying colors!! He was able to come home on Sat 11-8! Cale weighed 4. 19oz when he came home, but yesterday he had his 1st doctor appt and he is now up to 5lbs 5oz!!!!

DJ and I are over joyed with everything............our little family is defiantly complete!! :) :)

This is one of the mornings DJ spent with Cale in his NICU room.

When an infant leaves the NICU, they are wheeled out in this red wagon, and as you can seen Cale hardley fills his carseat, he is just tiny!!

Halloween Fun!!

Carson had a wonderful Halloween!! Of course I was sad I missed all the fun, but he came to see me at the hospital Halloween night, along with lil Abby who was an adorable butterfly! Carson has decided he would like to be a Doctor when he grows up, so he fell in love with this costume when he saw it! DJ and I of course think he is the BEST lookin doctor in town! All the nurses here at the hospital agreed! :0)

The fun day started with DJ taking my place at the classroom party! The kids got to play bingo, play Halloween twister and had some yummy treats! DJ said he had alot of fun too!

Then Abber Dabber's came for a visit with gma Kathy, and Ang! Carson, DJ and Gma Robin said she was just adorable!! DJ had to show her the ghost blow up in the yard and Abby wanted to give them kisses!

AND THEN IT WAS DARK AND IT WAS TIME TO GO TRICK OR TREATING!!!!!!

Next Year I think he needs a bigger bucket! By the time they got home it was overflowing!!! Carson got 91 pieces of candy and had a great time making a trail throughout the house :)

Punkin Patch

DJ, Carson and my mom had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch. It was a VERY hard event for me to miss with being in the hospital, I LOVE going to the pumpkin patch :( But I was so happy my mom got some great pics, and Carson had a ton of stories to come tell me after they left!

Operation Nursery.............

This weekend we began the nursery project!

We started with the painting and setting up the crib!
DJ did a very good job, even with all my constant reminders to "BE CAREFUL", among other maybe a............... "tad" bit bossy demands :0) ... He was a trooper for sure!! LOL
Carson of course wanted to help, so he was able to paint some of the wall too!! :)
The walls are chocolate brown and blue.

Alex & Aria come to visit!

In September Alex and Aria came with Jac for a visit. These are just a few shots from a sunny afternoon hanging out at grandma and grandpa's! Alex and Aria both LOVED cousin Carson, it was really cute!! We will see them again at Christmas time!!
